Students and New Professionals Officer
Nichola Jamison

Nichola took up the position of Students and New Professionals Officer in April 2021, following the interim Student Support Officer role she held since August 2020. Graduating from Ulster University in 2020 as a therapeutic radiographer, Nichola had been involved with the SoR since the beginning of her student days, and is a past Chairperson of the SoR UK Student Representative Forum, and alumna of the Council of Deans of Health student leadership programme.
Nichola is now a leadership coach for the #150leaders programme, and loves to thread both formal and informal coaching through her everyday support of students and newly qualified radiographers at SoR. She is also currently studying MSc Applied Psychology through Robert Gordon University, which she hopes will greatly enhance her skillset as she builds valuable knowledge of organisational and coaching psychology.
Nichola’s parents are professional foster-carers, instilling a passion in her for pastoral care and accessible mental health support. As such, she is a mental health first-aider and threads this training through each aspect of her practice. Nichola believes strongly in improving engagement, experience and wellbeing for the student workforce, while identifying and encouraging leadership in all those she meets.
When not at work, Nichola can usually be found in her local Mourne mountains with her very large blended family of five children and an incredibly bouncy, giant Labradoodle.

The Society’s subscription year extends from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2023. Payments can be made by monthly direct debit instalments or an annual payment by debit/credit card for the full membership fee.
