Empowering the Future: Unveiling the New SoR Support Worker Hub and Maximising Workforce Impact

Monday 24 March, 12-1.30pm

In April, the SoR will unveil a new online hub, a ‘one-stop shop’ that will empower and equip individuals with a wealth of resources dedicated to the recruitment, development and deployment of invaluable support workers.

Join us for this webinar to explore the following:

  • Understanding of resources

Participants will be able to identify and explain the various resources available on the Society of Radiographers’ (SoR) new support worker hub, enhancing their knowledge of tools for recruitment, development and deployment of support workers.

  • Awareness of support workforce contributions

Attendees will gain insight into the vital role support workers play in service delivery and patient care, as well as the challenges that may hinder their full contribution within radiography services.

  • Commitment to local resource utilisation

Participants will develop a commitment to actively engage with and implement the SoR’s resources within their own organisations, fostering a local environment that supports the integration and development of the support workforce.

  • Engagement in workforce planning discussions

Individuals will be equipped to participate in discussions regarding workforce planning and related issues affecting support workers, thereby fostering collaboration among stakeholders in radiography services.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Anyone in a clinical role within a radiography service, alongside support workers, will find this event useful. More broadly, the webinar will appeal to any stakeholder invested in radiography workforce planning, including chief AHPs, AHP faculties/academies and workforce planners from trusts and ICS.

The programme that the webinar centres on is funded by NHS England and, consequently, is primarily focused on England. However, the issues discussed will be of interest across the UK.
